Chits and Giggles are a rating system that we use at For Chits & Giggles to help you identify which games are for you. Instead of giving you a rating out of 5 or 10 based on how we liked the game, we feel it would be more helpful to give a rating which represents how you will engage with the games. The rating system is broken up into 2 components;
Chits will represent the mental engagement that we feel players will have with the game. A game with a high chit rating will require you to think a lot while playing. These could include strategy games such as Chess or euro-games such as Agricola.
Giggles will represent the social engagement that we feel players will have with the game. A game with a high giggle rating will produce a lot of interaction with the other players. You may have to trick, bluff, trade with or communicate with the other players in the game. Sometimes you will just need to make them laugh or get the to guess a word. These could include Skull, Cards Against Humanity or Dixit.
